WESTFIELD — Kirshenbaum Baking Co., an online-only bakery for now, is preparing to open its flagship brick-and-mortar location in Union County this month.

This was reported by the Kirshenbaum website future store at 62 Elm St. is currently under construction, with the company’s latest social media update on September 2.

According to the website, the “French-inspired” shop will offer cakes, pastries, breads and sandwiches — presumably with scones making up the majority Kirshenbaum’s online store.

The portal NJ.com informed that the Westfield store will also offer coffee from Boxwood coffee roasterswhich has locations in Westfield and Summit.

The bakery’s website said chef Uyen Kirshenbaum and her husband Jeff, who spent a decade working on Wall Street, moved from California “to raise our family where it all began for Jeff.”

No specific opening date for Westfield has been set.
